Open Records Request

  1. The completed request is to be filed with the City Secretary's Office at City Hall front window. Copies and/or viewing of public records will be scheduled by the City Secretary' and you will be advised of that and any costs.

    The City Policy and Regulations related to this request, the City's response and costs are posted on the City website and may be obtained at City Hall.
  2. Under the Public Information Act, some categories of information do not have to be released. Exceptions to disclosure fall into two general categories of protected information: 1) mandatory exceptions that require information to be withheld, and 2) discretionary exceptions that allow information to be withheld. Some information can be withheld automatically. Most protected information requires that a request be made to the Office of the Attorney General. A requestor may agree to allow withholding of mandatory exceptions, discretionary exceptions, or both in order to avoid the need for a request for decision.
  3. You are not required to agree to the redaction of any information responsive to your request, but doing so may streamline the handling of your request. If you agree to redactions in this request, then you may request the redacted information in a future information request.
