Information About Your Water Bill

Renters Lease Agreement or Title Documents will be required at the time you apply for water service. Also, a deposit payment and a Texas Identification or Drivers License.

You will receive a Water Bill each month. Water Bills are mailed the 1st working day of each month. If you do not receive your bill, please call the Water Department at (713) 672-2556 and the representative will be happy to assist you with the amount due. Failure to receive your bill does not waive the penalty.

Water Bills are due by the 16th of each month without penalty. If the bill is not paid by the 16th of each month, an automatic penalty will be applied on the 17th of the month. If your bill is delinquent your services will be disconnected without further notice. If your water is disconnected for non-payment, a re-connection fee of $45 will be added to your account and must be paid before the water service is restored along with the balance on the account.

You may pay your bill at City Hall (2000 Clinton Drive) during business regular hours (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday). You can also use the night deposit box, the kiosk machine (located on Eastway on the side of City Hall), by mail, or at Middleton's Grocery Store until the 16th of each month.

All Water Department employees must have access to your water meters at all times. If the Water Department employees can not gain access to your meter, your bill will be estimated based on the prior billing history until City employees are able to read your meter.
